Hey there- I'm Diane I'm 28 and I'm in Campbell right near The Pruneyard looking for a ride with someone who wants to do all day at the Con!
Even though I'm not at all a morning person I wake up early to be there approximately when it starts to get as much done in a day as possible because I'm also working- I'm a reporter. The more time I have to gather the material I need the more time I have to do the stuff that I want: rummage through comic boxes, get artists autographs, eat, sit down, etc. :)
I'm not terribly picky when it comes to catching a ride with someone- I figure I'm like a guest in their house & they're the one doing ME the favor so what right do I have to complain? I don't care if you smoke- though I don't so I'd prefer it if you cracked a window for me, feel free to listen to whatever music you want as loud as you want, we can chat as little or as much as you want, & I don't care if you have other passengers.
I do need to warn you that if you need someone to help with finding our way I am a terrible navigator & can't read directions/maps or look stuff up on a phone while in a car because it gives me motion sickness- it sucks.
I'll have a backpack with me & probably a purse too, I drink lots of water so usually have a bottle with me in the car & possibly something to eat that travels well- like a bar of something- since I don't usually have time to eat in the morning (& I'll bring one of whatever it may be for you) but if you don't want me eating in your car I completely understand that.
I'm not psycho about being exactly on time or going exactly the speed limit; I do require a working seat-belt and that you drive decently, pay attention to the road, and don't dick around on your phone/call/text please.
I'm not sure how arranging a trip back goes- I think I'd need to post a separate request- but if it works out I'd be down to meet up with the same person after the con. I don't think I'll be staying for the "Repo" performance so I'd be ready to check out at a little after six if you were?
I'm usually pretty shy but going to Cons brings out the hidden social aspect of being a total geek so I hope to catch a ride with someone who's just as geeky and excited as I am!
