Rock Creek North Trailhead (Cat’s Eye Road) Primary staging area for riders accessing the Rock Creek multi-use trails. This gravel trailhead sits near Inkana Bridge off Cat’s Eye Road and provides direct entry to the northern loops of the trail system. It is one of the most common places for riders to unload horses before heading onto the prairie and woodland trails. Horse regulations
Horseback riding at Chickasaw National Recreation Area is allowed on a limited trail system and is managed to protect the park’s springs, streams, and natural habitats. Equestrian use is restricted to designated multi-use trails, and riders should review park guidelines before visiting to ensure safe and responsible use of the area. However, several core regulations and best practices apply for riders in the park. Riding Is Only Allowed on Designated Trails Horses and other pack animals are permitted only on the Rock Creek Multi-Use Trail system. Riding on hiking-only trails, near swimming areas, or off established routes is prohibited. Riders must remain on designated trails at all times. Shared Trail Use The Rock Creek trail system is shared with hikers and mountain bikers. Riders should expect mixed trail traffic and ride with caution, maintaining control of their horses and yielding appropriately when passing other users. Feed and Invasive Species Control To help protect native ecosystems, riders must bring: Certified weed-free hay or feed Clean trailers, tack, and hooves before entering riding areas These measures help prevent the spread of invasive plant species. Stock Control and Trail Courtesy Riders are expected to: Maintain control of horses at all times Ride single file where trails are narrow Yield appropriately to hikers and cyclists Avoid damaging vegetation or creating new trails Waterways and Sensitive Areas Horses should be kept away from sensitive spring and swimming areas within the park. Guy Sandy Campground is open seasonally for the summer. It opens no later than Memorial Day Weekend and closes no earlier than Labor Day Weekend. It is located on the western shore of Lake of the Arbuckles. This primitive campground offers basic amenities only. RVs are permitted, but no hookups are available. Communal water spigots and pit toilets are available. Each campsite has a picnic table and fire ring with a grill.
Rock Creek Campground

Located along Rock Creek and near Veterans Lake, this wooded campground is open for the summer season. Built with small travel trailers in mind, this campground is good for primitive camping. No hook ups are available.
