Horse regulations
Horseback riding is allowed only on the specified Glenwood Dunes equestrian route, generally from March 16 to December 14, with winter closures when ski conditions exist. Park entry fees may apply, and manure must be removed from the parking and picnic areas.
Getting here
The Glenwood Dunes trailhead is an unusually polished launch point for a ride day, with a large parking area and a straightforward sense of organization. It is still a national-park setting, so coming prepared and arriving early both help.
