Wetlands Park North Equestrian Trails

NV · Las Vegas

7050 Wetlands Park Lane, Las Vegas, NV 89122

Wetlands Park is one of Southern Nevada’s most interesting horse day rides because it feels so different from the red-rock headline destinations. The landscape is subtler, more linear, and more unexpectedly serene.

Riding guide

Highlights

A distinctive Las Vegas-area ride where wetland-edge desert, wide unpaved paths, and thoughtful trailer access create a surprisingly polished urban escape.

Riding

The north-side unpaved trails give riders room to move through broad wash-country terrain with a calmer pace than many desert systems. It is excellent for a steady leg-stretch ride with unusual scenery for the Las Vegas Valley.

Trailer parking

Pabco Trailhead is the most horse-friendly access point thanks to horse trailer parking and hitch racks; Sunrise also serves equestrians when open

Horse regulations

Horses are restricted to the unpaved trails north of the Las Vegas Wash and are not allowed in the Nature Preserve or on bridges. Always check current trailhead status and park guidance before travel.

Getting here

Pabco is the smart equestrian entry thanks to trailer parking and hitch racks. Starting from the right trailhead makes all the difference here and turns the outing into an easy, well-orchestrated urban-edge ride.

Planning your visit

A very good choice when you want trailer convenience and a lower-commitment ride near the city. Go early, especially in warm weather, and enjoy the contrast with Nevada’s more rugged desert parks.

Where to stay

There is no horse camping, but the park is exceptionally easy to pair with city lodging. It works well as a refined shorter outing before or after a more ambitious Southern Nevada trail day.
