Trailer parking
Day-use horse trailer parking is available near the bridle-trail system and the Trails End equestrian campground, making loading, tacking up, and loop planning unusually straightforward.
Horse regulations
Ride only on marked bridle trails. Riders 16 and older need a Wisconsin state trail pass, and trails are typically open May 1 through Nov. 15 unless weather or surface conditions require closure.
Getting here
Arrival is refreshingly straightforward here. Day-use horse trailer parking is available near the bridle-trail system and the Trails End equestrian campground, making loading, tacking up, and loop planning unusually straightforward. It is the sort of setup that helps both seasoned haulers and less frequent trailer travelers start the day in a calm, organized frame of mind.
Planning your visit
This is an excellent choice for riders who want a true destination rather than a quick local outing. Reserve the equestrian campground early for peak fall weekends, and check trail-status notices before hauling in after heavy rain.
Where to stay
For overnight planning, the experience depends on whether you want to stay trail-close or sleep a little softer. The equestrian campground is a real asset here, with overnight options that let you ride, reset, and head back out without repacking the whole trip. Dodgeville lodging and Driftless-area dining make it easy to turn the ride into a polished long weekend.
