These Terms of Service (“Terms”) constitute a legally binding agreement between you and RideJoy, Inc., a Pennsylvania corporation (“RideJoy,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), governing your access to and use of the RideJoy website, mobile applications, and related services (collectively, the “Platform”).
By creating an account, checking an acceptance box, clicking “I Agree,” making a booking, listing a property or service, or otherwise accessing or using the Platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you may not use the Platform.
RideJoy is a technology platform that facilitates discovery, bookings, payments, and in-platform communications between independent third-party equine facility owners, property owners, and service providers (“Hosts”) and riders or travelers (“Guests”).
RideJoy does not own, manage, lease, operate, inspect, control, or insure any horses, facilities, properties, vehicles, equipment, or experiences listed on the Platform. Hosts are independent third parties and are solely responsible for their Listings, facilities, services, and compliance with applicable laws.
RideJoy does not provide horse handling, riding instruction, training, veterinary care, transportation, boarding, or equine services of any kind.
You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to form a binding contract to use the Platform. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information and to keep your account information updated. You are responsible for safeguarding your login credentials and all activity under your account.
RideJoy may require Hosts and Guests to complete identity verification steps, including submission of verified contact information and valid state- or government-issued photo identification. RideJoy conducts background checks on both Hosts and Guests as permitted by law and subject to user authorization. Verification or background checks do not guarantee safety, suitability, or legality. RideJoy reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts based on verification results or policy violations.
Hosts are solely responsible for:
RideJoy does not inspect or certify facilities but may remove Listings that fail to meet Platform standards or present safety concerns.
Guests are responsible for:
Guests may not bring animals unless explicitly permitted by the Listing.
Bookings are formed directly between Hosts and Guests. RideJoy facilitates the transaction but is not a party to the agreement between users.
All payments must be made through the Platform. Payments are processed securely through Stripe, a PCI-compliant third-party payment processor. RideJoy does not store or access full payment card information.
RideJoy charges service fees to Hosts and or Guests, disclosed prior to booking. Approximately 80% of booking revenue is paid to Hosts, with RideJoy retaining a service fee of approximately 20%. Payout timing is subject to verification, fraud review, refunds, and Stripe processing requirements.
Hosts are responsible for determining and fulfilling all applicable tax obligations. RideJoy does not provide tax advice.
Cancellation and refund policies vary by Listing and are disclosed at checkout. Guests agree to the applicable policy when booking. RideJoy may assist with disputes but is not obligated to resolve them.
Equine activities are inherently dangerous. Risks include, without limitation, serious injury or death to persons or animals, property damage, falls, kicks, bites, collisions, unpredictable animal behavior, trail hazards, weather conditions, and acts or omissions of other persons.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, you:
Hosts may require additional on-site waivers, for which Hosts are solely responsible.
Hosts are required to maintain their own insurance appropriate to their operations, including general liability and equine-related coverage.
RideJoy’s insurance does not replace or serve as primary insurance for Hosts.
RideJoy may evaluate offering an excess or secondary protection program for Hosts that would apply only after a Host’s own insurance responds. Any such program would be governed by separate terms.
RideJoy provides in-platform tools for reporting incidents or safety concerns. Reports are documented and reviewed internally. Claims are handled by the applicable party’s insurance carrier. RideJoy cooperates with insurers as required and may take platform actions based on incident findings.
Users retain ownership of their Content but grant RideJoy a worldwide, royalty-free license to use it for platform operations and marketing. Reviews must be truthful and non-defamatory. RideJoy may remove Content that violates policies or law. Harassment, discrimination, fraud, or circumvention of platform fees is prohibited.
RideJoy is committed to providing an inclusive platform. Hosts and Guests may not discriminate on the basis of protected characteristics under applicable law.
RideJoy’s trademarks, branding, software, and Platform content are owned by RideJoy or its licensors. Unauthorized use is prohibited.
THE PLATFORM IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.” RIDEJOY DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
RideJoy does not guarantee the conduct, safety, legality, or suitability of any Host, Guest, Listing, or Experience.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, RideJoy will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages. RideJoy’s total liability for any claim will not exceed the greater of: fees paid to RideJoy by you in the prior 12 months, or $100.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless RideJoy from claims arising out of your use of the Platform, interactions with other users, violations of these Terms, or violations of law.
Except where prohibited by law, disputes will be resolved by binding individual arbitration, not class actions. Arbitration will be administered by a recognized provider. Certain claims (e.g., intellectual property) may be brought in court.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, except where federal law applies.
RideJoy may update these Terms. Continued use of the Platform after changes constitutes acceptance.
RideJoy may suspend or terminate accounts for violations, safety concerns, or compliance reasons. Certain provisions survive termination.

These RideJoy Payments Terms (“Payment Terms”) govern the payment services provided through the RideJoy Platform by RideJoy and its third-party payment processor, Stripe (“Payment Processor”).
RideJoy facilitates payments between Hosts and Guests but is not a bank or money services business. Payments for Reservations are processed securely through Stripe. RideJoy does not store or access full payment card numbers.
By making or accepting a Reservation, you authorize RideJoy and Stripe to:
Stripe’s terms and privacy practices apply in addition to these Payment Terms. RideJoy reserves the right to delay or withhold payouts where reasonably necessary for compliance, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, or legal requirements.
RideJoy respects your privacy and is committed to protecting personal information. (See our full Privacy Policy for details).
RideJoy charges service fees to support platform operations. Guests may be charged a service fee at checkout. Hosts may be charged a service fee deducted from payouts. Service fees are disclosed prior to booking and may vary based on listing type, location, or booking characteristics. RideJoy may change fee structures with notice.
Hosts may not charge Guests additional mandatory fees outside the Platform unless: such fees are clearly disclosed in the Listing before booking; and such fees are permitted by RideJoy policies. Prohibited offline fees include undisclosed booking fees, platform circumvention fees, or charges intended to avoid RideJoy service fees. Optional or incidental charges (e.g., optional services or damages) must comply with applicable law and be disclosed.
To protect safety, transparency, and trust: All bookings and payments must occur through the RideJoy Platform. Users may not solicit or accept off-platform payments for Listings discovered through RideJoy. Circumventing the Platform may result in suspension or termination.
Hosts are responsible for determining, collecting, reporting, and remitting all applicable taxes related to their Listings, including lodging, occupancy, sales, or equine-related taxes. RideJoy does not provide tax advice. RideJoy may provide informational tools but does not guarantee tax compliance.
Hosts must: use Guest personal information only for booking-related purposes; safeguard Guest data against unauthorized access; not share or misuse Guest personal information; comply with applicable privacy laws. Guest information may not be used for marketing or unrelated purposes without consent.
Hosts offering Services or Experiences represent that: they have the authority, licensing, and experience to offer such services; services comply with applicable laws and safety standards; listings accurately describe the experience; appropriate safety disclosures and waivers are used. RideJoy does not supervise, train, or certify Hosts.
Each Listing displays the applicable cancellation policy prior to booking. Policies may include: Flexible, Standard, Strict. The Host’s selected policy governs refunds unless otherwise required by law or RideJoy’s Major Disruptive Events Policy.
Service and Experience cancellation terms may differ from stays and are disclosed at booking. Refund eligibility depends on: timing of cancellation; Host cancellation; qualifying Reservation Issues.
When unforeseen events beyond a user’s control (such as natural disasters, government travel restrictions, disease outbreaks affecting equine movement, or emergencies) make a Reservation impractical or illegal, RideJoy may allow cancellations or refunds outside standard policies. RideJoy determines applicability on a case-by-case basis.
If a Host cancels or a significant issue disrupts a stay, RideJoy may assist Guests with: rebooking another Listing (subject to availability); or issuing refunds consistent with applicable policies. RideJoy is not obligated to guarantee rebooking.
If a Host cancels a Service or Experience, Guests may be eligible for a refund. Refunds may also be issued where a qualifying issue prevents delivery of the service.
RideJoy provides an in-platform Resolution Center for reporting payment disputes, damages, or issues. RideJoy may facilitate communication but does not adjudicate disputes or replace insurance claims. Parties remain responsible for working with their insurers.
RideJoy may evaluate offering a host damage protection program that may provide limited, excess protection for certain property damage after a Host’s own insurance responds. Any such program: is not insurance; is secondary to Host insurance; is subject to exclusions, limits, and conditions; will be governed by separate published terms.
Reviews must be honest, relevant, and based on genuine experiences. RideJoy may remove reviews that are fraudulent, abusive, retaliatory, or violate policy.
RideJoy expects all users to: act respectfully and lawfully; prioritize safety; communicate honestly; avoid harassment, discrimination, or abuse. Violations may result in suspension or removal.
Members must: follow Host rules; respect facilities, animals, and property; comply with laws; avoid unsafe or deceptive conduct.
Users may post content that is lawful, accurate, and respectful. Prohibited content includes: misleading listings; unsafe instructions; harassment or hate speech; infringement of intellectual property.
RideJoy is committed to inclusion and respect. Hosts may not discriminate against Guests on the basis of protected characteristics under applicable law.
Services and Experiences must: be accurately described; follow safety best practices; comply with laws; disclose risks clearly; use appropriate waivers where required. RideJoy may remove offerings that do not meet standards.
